Durian + Cake = Bad Night??

Last night Ila & Syukur brought over a bundle of durians. Yumyumyum.. At the same time, a cake in the oven was cooked. Langkah kanan betul! I thought the cake would turn up in the wastebasket.. yelah..new recipe. But it turned up quite good but a bit flat coz I used a much bigger springfoam than required. The durians were delicious. Just the right taste & texture. Even Alysa & Ayra loved them. Thanx Ila & Syukur. Boleh buat selalu ni...hehe..

During bedtime, we were happy coz Adik managed to sleep early ( 10.30pm was early by our standard!). But it was shortlasted. She woke up at 11.30pm smiling & slept ( or trying to) in the tv room. Hish! tension betul. When we went to bed at 12.30pm, she still couldn't sleep! So, we let her sleep with Baby. Just be4 we went to bed, Alysa woke up crying. Tummy ache. After we fed her the necessary medicine, she went back to sleep.

At 2am Baby woke up. Blocked nose. Crying until 3am. Dozed off after I gave her antihistamine & milk. But she was restless..woke up on & off. Tak selesa kut.

Adik woke up just before subuh may be kena tendang dengan Baby (Baby lasak kalau tido). She then slept with papa. She woke up again during Subuh to ask for milk. Nasib papa rajin tolong bancuhkan..:-) Mama was so exhausted after the sleep deprived night. After Subuh she was so chirpy talking to papa while watching PHDC. Kids! Lepas tu dia terus tido until 9am. I woke up feeling like a zombie.

Cream cake


Ingredients:

2 eggs ( I used 3 )

3/4 cup sugar

1 1/2 cup all purpose flour

2 1/4 tsp baking powder

3/4 tsp salt

1 1/2 tsp vanilla essence

1 cup whipping cream

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 170'C

2. Beat the eggs until thick. Add in sugar and vanilla essence.

3. Sift the flour , baking powder and salt.

4. Add in the flour mixture (1/2 cup at a time ) to the egg mixture alternating with the whipped cream.

5. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes. Serve warm.
