Bermadu itu Manis......?

At last, I'm back home. We arrived last nite. We left MIL's house at 10am coz she had to attend a funeral. Singgah Batu Pahat. Actually dah ronda2 the day before..& dah pekena the famous Beriyani Gam. ( Hmm..sedapnya dia punya mutton..) Tapi ada 1 shopping mall tak singgah. So, ended up kat situ until 12.30pm.

 Actually nak cerita pasal this story masa on the way from KL to BP. Hubby decided to stop in Melaka to meet up his buddy when he was in Adelaide. The last time they met was in 1994. Punya la lama. So, after berFB I think, we decided to stop by at his place. Dia ambik cuti nak sambut tetamu dari jauh..:-) Masa sampai tu dah 3 pm. Lepas borak2, he said he has 2 practices. 1 was handled by his wife. I pun pelik gak la masa tu coz dlm kereta tadi Hubby cakap wife dia cikgu. So, I tanya le wife dia cuti hari apa? Dia cakap dah cikgu, cuti ikut sekolah le..So, blur le kejap I. Lepas tu wife dia dok mention pasal kembar anak bongsu dia & cerita pasal maid. Lepas tu baru clear bila dia cerita yang pasal maid wife no 2. They were waiting for wife no 2 to arrive with a dish for the afternoon. About 1/2 hour later, wife no 2 arrived with a baby. Rupanya yang di sebut kembar tu, anak bongsu wife no1 & anak sulung wife no 2 who were born 3 days apart. They are about Adalia's age.

 Kalau tengok tu memang mesra le the 2 families. Yang I musykil tu..why men take more than 1 wife. In this case, kalau tengok 1st wife tu tak de kurang pun..sweet, lembut, well-educated, has 4 kids ( 3 girls & 1boy ), still slim. ( 1st wife tu my senior in Sec 2, tapi I tak ingat pun muka dia..hehe..). The 2nd wife pulak, tak de le cantik jelita pun..1 year older than him, & well-educated too. Induksi sekali dengan Hubby but he couldn't remember her eventhough they were in the same group. Tapi masa ni dia tak kawin lagi dgn Hubby's friend.

 Another interesting thing, the 2 families are moving to a new bungalow soon. Now, I'm impressed! Selalunya, walau sesabar mana pun pompuan, eventhough dia dah bagi husband dia nikah sorang lagi, susah la nak duduk serumah dgn madu dia. Tapi I really salute the first wife . Not that I want to emulate her..:D. They said they allocated 1 day a week for the 2 families to get together. Lepas ni hari2 boleh jumpa..

 Lepas jumpa family ni, awal2 Hubby dah kena warning jangan cuba2 nak tiru kawan dia..haha..I definitely won't tolerate this coz I'm not that patient or baikhati..:-)

 To friends yang I tak sempat nak jumpa the other day, sorry ye. May be next time. Yesterday, on the way back sempat jumpa sorang kat Shah Alam. Masa we all in KL, he was in Shanghai. So, nak balik ke Penang yesterday sempat le jumpa dia dekat2 office dia.

Peachy Moist Muffins

 After bertangguh for quite some time, semalam berjaya jugak menghabiskan stok peaches. Yelah dah nak pegi berjalan2 jauh for a few days, kalau tak dihabiskan, mmg rosak le peaches tu. Actually pernah buat peach muffins resepi Yani @ myResipi, this time saje nak cuba resepi lain. Simple but nice. It's denser than Yani's. Kena makan panas2 lagi sedap.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup chopped pecans; I omited this.
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder ; I added 2 tsp.
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 cup peach or vanilla yogurt
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped peeled fresh or well-drained canned peaches
I added a little bit milk ( about 3 tbs )

Directions

1.In a large bowl, combine flour, pecans, sugar and baking powder. Combine egg, yogurt, butter and vanilla; mix well. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in peaches. Fill greased or paper-lined muffin cups two-thirds full. Bake at 200C for 15-20 minutes or until muffins test done. Cool in pan 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack.
 
Ni pulak our lunch hari tu. Lama pulak tak buat lasagna coz tekak ni rasa tak boleh terima je red sauce. Hubby makan beriya je. Tekak I pun boleh le pulak terima..:-). Resepi mesti sume orang biasa buat lasagna..

This coming weekend, Hubby ada course kat KL. So, kitaorang pun mengekor le sekali. Will stay in KL for 2 days. Then ke Melaka, then balik Johor. Tu pun dia ajak melencong ke Cameron Highlands. Takut tak terlarat le pulak. So, after ke Johor rasanya terus balik Penang kut. So, won't be blogging for a while. Kecuali kalau terajin le pulak..:-)

Father's Day

 Happy Father's Day to Ayah & dear Hubby. Father's Day kat Malaysia ni baru je semenjak 2 menjak ni je ada celebration tapi tak semeriah Mother's Day. Sale sempena Father's Day pun tak de..:-) Tapi the role of fathers is equal to that of mothers. Cuma anak2 mungkin lebih rapat dgn ibu2. Hence, the difference in celebrations.
 Yesterday, memula I plan nak buat breakfast celebration. Tapi malas tahap gaban nak ke dapur. The princesses pulak woke up soo late. Tengok2 Papa sorang je yang bangun awal. So, after bangun & bagi the princesses brunch, we waited after zohor to go out. So, Hubby was given a choice whether to go to Damiral's Grill ( Zuraida & Eli's wesstern food restaurant ) or Secret Recipe. He chose Secret Recipe. May be sebab dekat je dengan rumah.

 After lunch & lepak kat SR tu dah 4pm, we headed to Juru Auto City & Stone City. Stone City tutup le pulak on Sundays. Niat tu nak pilih le tiles yang berkenan dihati for our minor house renovation. May be next time kena pegi pulak. Jamu mata kat Auto City pun no point gak cos tak semua showroom bukak. We might need a bigger car by the end of the year with the new addition of family member..:-).
 So, at last lepak kat beach. Punya le ramai orang. It was a hot day. Muka Baby pun dah kemerah-merahan. Tapi tak main pasir le coz ramai sangat orang. Main kat playground & tgk orang main kites je..:D

Minggu Membaca & Dinner @ Gold Coast

This week mmg malas nak update blog. My spare time was spent reading books which I bought last week. I started with a malay novel but half-way thru the book, I lost the book after putting it on the bookshelf the previous nite. Hairan bin ajaib betul! I searched all over the house but couldn't find it. Since K.Jun cuti, sms bertanyakan buku tu tak berbalas but Farah did answer she didn't see the book. When I asked the princesses, semua tak ngaku ambik, but, Baby did laugh when I asked her. Gelak besar pulak tu..macam tak caya je dia ni coz she likes to throw stuff thru the window. Finally, bila K.Jun balik keja, dia jumpa bawah sofa..I did search under the sofa, tapi tak jumpa pun..Ni mmg confirm Baby yang baling bawah sofa..
 So, bila tak jumpa buku tu, I started on a new book by Sophie Kinsella, 'The Undomestic Goddess'. Actually dah lama ada orang recommend books by Kinsella tapi tak pernah baca. Pernah tgk movie ' A Confession by Shopaholic' je. But, of course movies & books tak sama. Well, now I can add another favourite author to my list. :-).
 Early of the week, we brought Mak & Ayah to have dinner at a seafood restaurant just opposite Pulau Jerjak & next to Gold Coast Condo..( Bukan Gold Coast, Aussie ye..hehe ). Hujan le pulak. So, plan nak picnic cancel la. Ila yang recommend tempat ni. I ada a few times ke Gold Coast tu masa my friend CT stayed there. But, since dia pindah balik Singapore, mmg tak pegi dah pun. So, tak perasan lak ada a very nice seafood restaurant just outside the condo. Mmg mlm tu meratah je lauk2. Punya sibuk meratah sampai lupa nak ambik photos. Sempat ambik appetiser je..:-) Restaurant tu nama Sri Pantai kut. Ada 3 restaurant kat situ. This one yang hujung sekali.

Shopping..

 I love books. But now, mmg tak sempat nak baca. Kalau I dah started on a book, alamatnya pukul 2, 3 am baru masuk tido coz it was hard to put it down. Hubby mmg tak suka I berjaga sampai pukul 3, 4 pg. Of course le it's not good for health. Tp masa lain mmg susah nak baca with the princesses around.
 This week, mmg I splurged on books of different genre. Not for me alone, but for the princesses, Hubby & Ayah. The genre varies from children books, fiction , self-enrichment , motivational & religious. I jarang beli cookbooks coz sometimes dalam 1 buku tu, I cuma tertarik kat 1 or 2 recipes. Baik i cari kat internet which has been tried & tested. Memula kitaorang borong buku kat Popular @ Sunway carnivalle. But I don't really like the store here coz byk sangat chinese books. English books mmg teramatlah kurangnye. Later we went to Popular @ Megamall. I suka kat sini cos they have a wide selection of books. Tgk2 diorang akan ada sale starting from 5th June. Then, masa kat expo tu our booth mmg opposite booth yang jual buku2. So, borong le buku2 agama for us & Ayah. Then, yesterday we finally went to Megamall. Popular was having Sale for up to 70%. I pn beli le lagi 10 books. Mostly for the princesses. Murah gilers. 10 buku baru over RM100. For the princesses, semua yang tebal2 paper dia so that tak senang koyak.
 Eventhough the princesses belum pandai baca, tapi diorang ni mmg suka books. Alysa pulak at the phase yang baca bukan mengeja, tp guna teknik mengenal word as a whole. Self-taught. Kalau buku cerita tu, she'd ask us to read for her over & over again until she can read by herself. Bila 3-3 suruh I baca 3 buku serentak, pening le kepala mama diorang. Pass tu Papa le sorang.
  Yesterday masa lepas beli buku, sempat lagi shopping jam. Actually jam I baru rosak coz letak dekat magnet. Spoil betul. Punya le pusing 5-6 kedai, bertemu jodoh kat Megamall. Nak beli kasut, tak de yang berkenan dihati. Kena pegi shopping mall lain le pulak. I love to shop on weekdays coz tak ramai orang. Lagipun the princesses tak ikut. Pegi dgn Hubby je. Kalau weekends, penuh orang, & nak kepong the princesses lagi..
 Ni pulak nak tunjuk photo I buat tart for my nephew & his pregnant wife yang singgah on the way balik ke KL. Hantar barang mak pesan i.e ketupat, masak anga & kelapa muda untuk mak labu..hehe..

Good Bye KP, Hello SC

 This week has been a busy week, with the preparation for the expo & the hand-over of Hubby's biz. Actually, I want this entry to commemorate the efforts that we have put to make his clinic a successful one & when the princesses are old enough to read, they would know the history of the clinic.

 We received inquiries from patients & sales reps on why we sold the clinic. Actually only family & selected friends knew about this before. Somehow, patients got to know about this through other sources. Ada yang tercari2 dia. So, I guess it's a known fact now..:-). The reasons.. we'll only tell those who asked personally. Not that he's going to resign from that profession, but now it's only on part time basis somewhere else. Hopefully, he'd have more time with the family after this. I guess,when you reached a certain age, you'd prioritise stuff in your life. So, good bye KP officially on 1st June 2010. It's been great years building you up. Hopefully, the person who took over, would bring you to higher levels. Emo la pulak..:D Yelah..considering it's part of our lives for nearly 10 years, I do feel in a way sad ( about letting go KP ) but happy too that now Hubby got more time to do stuff that he'd like to do. As for me, I got plenty of time since I only work 3 hrs a day..:-). Welcome too to SC, his new company. Hope this would grow into something that we'd be proud of as we were of KP. ( P/S: Hubby wouldn't know about my ramblings cos I think he never read my blog considering his time constraint, even his friends perli " ko bukak FB setahun sekali ke?" & his email inbox was flooded with over 3000 msgs!  Melalut le pulak I..) 

 For the next 10 days starting tomorrow, we'll be busy with Ekspo Usahawan @ Tapak Ekspo Seberang Jaya. Sesape kat utara ni jemputlah visit our booth kat A5. Yang bertema biru tu..Tapi bukan I pun yang busy kat situ..tapi my staff le..:-) Tapi I akan jenguk2 le gak..
